[root at holly root]# mount -t vfat /dev/sda1 /mnt/usbreader/
mount: /dev/sda1 is not a valid block device

ditto for sda2,3,4

[root at holly root]# cdrecord -scanbus
Cdrecord 1.10 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1995-2001 Jrg Schilling
Linux sg driver version: 3.1.24
Using libscg version 'schily-0.5'
scsibus0:

it doesn't matter if i plug in the reader with or without the media
inserted, both results are the same.
