[TriLUG] Kernel/Quota errors

I was wondering if anyone on this list has experience dealing with
errors such as this:

VFS: find_free_dqentry(): Data block full but it shouldn't.
VFS: Error -5 occured while creating quota.

One of my servers had a disk error (could not come back up after reboot,
needed to do a repair) and ever since they it has had quota problems. 
The error was on /home and that is also where the quotas are.  We have
recreated the quota file once and the errors continue to occur. 
Quotacheck does not resolve the problem, in fact, the errors are
reporting the first time quotacheck is run.  The drive was mounted
ext3.  We were thinking that perhaps the journal was bad and mounted it
ext2 but that made no difference.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.
