[TriLUG] kernel customizing question

I think I am coming into this midstream. Did you create a new initrd image?
mkinitrd /boot/initrd-2.4.18-3custom-greg.img 2.4.18-3
(look under /usr/lib/ for that second argument -- for example if you are
compiling from source, you might see /usr/lib/2.4.18, changing the second
argument above to 2.4.18 v. 2.4.18-3)
It creates an initial ramdisk containing modules that might be required at
boot. I did not see that step in previous posts, but it looks like you
specified it in your lilo.conf.
