[TriLUG] Purchasing a Linux cluster

The group I work for is looking to purchase a Linux cluster within the
next few months.  I was wondering if any of you had any suggestions as to
which vendor we should look at, specs, etc...  Right now we have a quote
from Ion Computer Systems for a 10 node cluster for $56,000.  We're
looking for something a bit more affordable.  Any suggestions are greatly
appreciated!  We're also hoping to purchase 6 Linux workstations for heavy
graphical use (to replace SGI's).  We may just buy Dell workstations and
install Linux on them.  Thanks for your replies!
