[TriLUG] A Newbie's question about changing hardware on my Linux machine.

as long as the new CDRW is installed as the same IDE device (primary slave, 
secondary master, whatever) it will probably work without any further 
configuration.  you may need to tweak a setting or two in whatever CD burning 
application you use (gtoaster, xcdroast, etc).
