LDAP and Redhat 8

I am sorely tempted to remove the LDAP package from my default install
and get the latest openldap package for Redhat.
Has anyone got a good resource for setting up / configuring LDAP (slapd
only) on Redhat 8 ? ?
I have it running right now but I'm not finding things in the places I
expect to find them - /usr/local/etc/ldap or openldap for the slapd.conf
for example
