One nice thing about Mandrake 9 is that LVM is fully supported
in the install itself.  So, if you want to create a system with
LVM from the start, Mandrake is the way to go (I don't know for
sure, but I've heard that it is *not* supported in RH's anaconda.
If someone knows different, please speak up.)  I've recently
done two Mandrake 9 installs and setup LVM on both of them.  It
won't let you put / on an LVM partition (apparently, that can be
done, just not in Mandrake's installer), but I've put /usr and
/var and /home on various LVM partitions....
