if you're talking to other devices, you might find RIP more prevalent. if you're setting up all the stuff your self, you might wanna look at OSPF.

What routing protocols ans systems do you use under Linux. I know that there
are quite a few out there (from Freesco to gated and zebra). But which ones
do you use? and why?
I'll be installing a Linux router and I would like to hear about your
preferences, success and horror stories and, of course, any do's and dont's.
