That would be fine with me.  The only thing about having mailman
do it is that it takes care of the times when someone screws something
up.  I know I've screwed up things like this before, so I'm sure that
other people probably have too.  Also, it makes things safe if someone
gets hit by a virus that starts sending html e-mail to the list
(if the virus is sending from a registered subscriber's e-mail, it
wouldn't be held by mailman). 

So, there are arguments on both sides, which is why I think we should
just let the membership of the list decide.
