I'm seeing more listings now than I did when BOPS started swirling down 
the giant bowl.  The trouble is, I'm getting less callbacks now.  
Probably because the number of job seekers has increased 
disproportionately to the number of new jobs.

It's looking like my situation may change again soon.  If so, I'm going 
to see if I can swing a low rate night job for a month or two while I 
work intensively by day to bone up on some skills that passed me by 
(Oracle, Cisco & some others come to mind) and pursue at least two 
certs.

Keep in mind, I've been doing sysadmin work full time for about 9 years 
now.  I feel sorry for the poor sods who fell for those previously 
mentioned radio ads.  If you're going to change careers right now, this 
is the *wrong* one to change *to*.  (*from* is a different story)
