Bzzzzz, wrong.

 Backup Exec doesn't support Linux as the server, but does support Linux 
clients. So if you can live with your backup server being on Windows, 
you can use it.

Disclaimer: I work for VERITAS, and regularly use their products.  I was 
a VERITAS customer before I worked for them, and was overall  impressed 
by their product line even before drinking the company supplied beverages.
