[TriLUG] Red Hat 9 and Samsung Monitor

I need to know how to adjust the vertical refresh rate in RH9 (or buy a new 
monitor which I can't afford).  The problem is that it has this really 
annoying whine at 68k (which is the Red Hat/X windows default) but not at 
100k which the hardware will support.  Some details:

Red Hat 9
Samsung SyncMaster 955df
Nvidia TNT2 Vanta LT 16MB AGP
1024x768 16 bit color

Any ideas?
