Hello TriLUGgers!

I just wanted to say "Hi!" and present some reasons that I am
interested in working with the Steering Committee for TriLUG. I have
been involved with TriLUG since late 1999 and have always found group
membership to be beneficial. The list is an invaluable source of tech
information and the meetings are often quite jovial yet informative.
And you can't really beat the free pizza!

From my perspective, TriLUG has greatly benefitted from strong Steering
Committees over the past two to three years. (Again, thanks to Kevin
Sonney and Mike Johnson for their endless efforts!) One thing I have
always noticed is that the SC is usually comprised of the most
knowledgeable and generous members we can find and this has worked out
well.

One change I had seen lately was that Lisa Boyd was on-board and she
was doing a fantastic job with TriLUG community outreach and public
relations. I was sorry to see Lisa depart from that position, and it
made me think that perhaps this was an area that TriLUG needed some
help in. In general, I think all active members do a good job of
presenting the group, but often there has to be one individual who can
send out major correspondence and arrange larger events (installfests).

From the list of nominees below, I am most certainly the least-gifted
in terms of technical skills, but perhaps the SC would like some help
with "soft skills" in relation to bringing in new members and promoting
the group throughout the area. Regardless, I encourage you to choose
the best candidates for the job and based on those nominated, you
shouldn't have a hard time. :)
