[TriLUG] linux and winders integration - request for speakerfor tntug

Excellent! I can't see the tntug group being anything other than grateful for the opportunity. I can't see folks that oppose being anything other than ignorant. Besides, all of the active board members of tntug are members of trilug last time I checked.

Showing how a Linux desktop connects to a Microsoft server and how a Microsoft desktop connects to a Linux server could to nothing more than help all parties involved.

Liyun can make that call since he does the meeting arrangements. We might wanna keep our winders and winblows jokes out of the presentation :) Funny aside: I had a speaker from Microsoft that let me know he owned stock in Red Hat.

We're looking at 9 Dec 2003 for the next available spot unless we get a cancellation. It would be cool if we combine our resources for the demos. I've got several flavors of quasi portable computers I can offer plus some pizza dough.

We could do a joint meeting if you like.

I'm happy to help out too. I spent the last 6 years integrating Open
Source (Linux) solutions with Windows networks. I can sit in the back
and yell "Hallelujah!" every time Jason makes a point. :-)

The only problem is, will the NT users group react with horror at such a
proposed talk?

Take care - Jon
