[TriLUG] updating gaim & associated libraries questions

I recently upgraded to .62 but I did it from src which made it a lot
easier, because I had received RPM problems as well -- even with
building with the src RPM.  I got it installed, but I can't figure out
how to make the gaim-applet that I already had recognize the new
version, and I cannot find a newer version of the gaim-applet RPM OR the
source.

| I couldn't find an rpm with ver 15 of aspell, so I built & installed off
| of the source.  However, it seems that the installation didn't
| automatically update the new library.  I was only after I added
| /usr/local/lib to ld.so.conf that I got it to pick up the library:

|         libpspell_aspell.so.2 (libc6) => /usr/lib/libpspell_aspell.so.2

| (1)Shouldn't it remove the libaspell.so.10 also?  If I should do it; how
