[TriLUG] Way for linux to access serial port on MS machine. (possibly OT)

Hi Ed,

I appreciate your offer of help, but the device does already work fine 
directly connected to the linux machine.  The windows computer would have 
just been a very convenient shortcut.  We will probably end up adding 
serial ports and running a cable.
