The big problem I had with Jpackage is that there's something amiss with
the gpg key. Even though I imported it properly and followed the
directions, it gave similar errors about not being able to authenticate.


Removing the "[JPackage]" string in sources.list cleared it up
immediately.

*AFTER* adjusting sources.list above, I did the following just fine :

apt-get update
apt-get install ant jpackage-utils

And it installed ant just fine.

JPackage is the best thing to happen to Java on Linux recently, IMHO. I
installed apt-get just for it and freshrpms. 

But I still maintain my OS and errata with up2date :)
