got it.  thanks.  i had to press the kvm and switch back over to winders while rh-9 reboots.  me thinks my little weenie computer gotta go and make way for a serious graphics card for this stuff.  i tried maxing out the settings for graphics and just brought an epia with no extra special graphics thingie to its knees.

Just type bzflag [enter] at the terminal...
