My distinction is that while sendmail can transfer mail and can delivery 
mail to the spool it in no way helps with the reading of the mail.  People 
keep saying "I'll use sendmail to replace Exchange" and I'm saying you 
can't do that.  You need several other programs along with sendmail to do 
it.
