ok.  you gurus are going to have a big laugh with this one.

i just built my new box with no intel *or* microsoft product.  totally
anti-establishment.

now, after doing the red hat 9 update thingie, i have that new kernel.

how do you make it the default kernel?  my box still wants to boot off
kernel-2.4.20-8.  isn't kernel-2.4.20-18.9 the preferred choice?

i don't like having default options that are not the best choices.

i tried searching for my boot.ini file to no avail :-)
