[TriLUG] Wireless Internet Adapter Recommendation

Hello,

Can I assume you mean an 802.11b wireless network interface? Or do you
mean something that works with your cell phone? "Wireless Internet" is
a little ambiguous these days.

I've had reasonably good luck with the Linksys WPC11 version 3. (Make
sure you use the errata kernel, as the original kernel installed with
Red Hat Linux 9 has serious bugs in many wireless card drivers.)
Versions 1 and 2 will work as well, but version 4 requires a different
driver. I haven't gotten confirmation yet on how well the driver for
version 4 works with Red Hat Linux.

You may also want to ask this question on the Triangle Wireless Users
Group list; see http://www.triwug.org/ .

Regards,
Jeremy

Note: Many on this list prefer plain text email instead of HTML. You
may want to consider switching, as some people will ignore messages sent
in HTML.
