Yep. That's how I got my 2 Mb/s measurement. And DMA is turned on, too.

The Promise ATA-100 card I have works like a charm, but I've never had
any luck getting the CMD680-based cards to do anything but crawl.

I'm thinking at this point I'll skip getting an ATA card and opt instead
for an external Firewire drive.
