Doug,
We have processed memberships before for people at other official
TriLUG functions (i.e. installfests, classes, etc..). Unfortunately,
we don't have any of those coming up in the near future.

If you're replying to the digest, then I think you may be out of luck.
It depends on the mail program, but I believe, your mailer has to
specifically setup the correct headers for a message to show up
threaded. For example, your original message had this header:
Message-Id: <E970FF37-C684-11D7-BC9E-000A959EA4DE at unity.ncsu.edu>
Then Chris's reply had this header:
In-Reply-To: <E970FF37-C684-11D7-BC9E-000A959EA4DE at unity.ncsu.edu>
Note the similar message ids.
Finally Mike's e-mail had this header:
In-Reply-To: <39DAA6AE-C687-11D7-B493-0003939CC61E at trilug.org>
along with this:
References: <E970FF37-C684-11D7-BC9E-000A959EA4DE at unity.ncsu.edu>
<39DAA6AE-C687-11D7-B493-0003939CC61E at trilug.org>
(The second message id there, I believe, is Chris's reply to you.)
When you reply to a digest, you don't have those headers in your
message so the reply doesn't get threaded. :-( Other than adding
the header manually (assuming your mail program will let you do that),
you're probably out of luck.
Cheers,
Tanner
