Well, I will certainly give your posts greater consideration than "Gnu Man" if
for no other reason than:

1) There is a real name on the message, and not a pseudonym (though
Thunderbear isn't the type to completely disregard a message based solely on
the basis of anonymity or the use of a pseudonym).

2) I have met on a number of occasions the guy by the name of Mike Johnson who
shows up at a lot of TriLUG events, and I've found him to be a well grounded
geek who's opinions are usually based on real world experience and not
necessarily just perusing Slashdot to sound geek chic.

3) The message I am replying to has a GPG signature on it. The GPG signature
belongs to a key that has been authenticated by a number of people that I
trust to varying degrees. I have been given great assurances through the use
of this signature that the Mike Johnson that I've met in person on a number
of occasions through the years is putting his community reputation out there
when he makes a statement using his real name and well-authenticated GPG key.

After all that I might still think you're full of merde but you had the
cajones to assert your true identity with your opinion and that deserves more
respect and consideration than someone that I've never met who storms in here
with a pseudonym making grand claims from a safe distance.
