[TriLUG] Roadrunner Question

I use Roadrunner here in Raleigh for my ISP.  The network gives my
computer a name upon entering the network.  I'm sure you all know what
I'm talking about.  Here is my question...do I have to add this
information to my /etc/hosts for the system to function correctly?  Is
there a way to do something that will account for all the possible names
- IP addresses that could get assigned by Roadrunner to the computer?
