[TriLUG] mandrake performance?

Mozilla and galeon are really slow opening from anything from my 
experiences.  I am running it on a dual 1.7 with 1GB RAM and they open 
slow.  Try another browser like konquer.  Those apps run quickly once 
opened but are slow initially.  What about other apps, what is the speed 
of those?
