I would recommend you use fetchmail to bring the mail to your local
workstation, and then run spamassassin to filter out all the spams and
worm stuff.  It's not that difficult to set up -- LOTS of howto's out
there -- and it's so relieving to have almost all of your email be worm-
and spam-free.
