been there... I have used it to add one of my network connected printers to
this system. I've been using lpd/lpr type stuff for a bit now. My
challenge with the windows stuff is not understanding how samba plays into
the mix. Do I have to have samba running on the linux box to access a
windows printer? Do I have to have samba running for a windows system to
access a linux printer?

I have two desktops, windows XP and Mandrake. I have one printer. I want
to be able to print from both systems then turn around and grab the page.
