[TriLUG] Applets from apache

Afternoon,

I have a linux 8 box with apache on it.
Apache is serving up plain html just hunkey dorey. However, I have a page 
that loads a java applet that doesn't work?
When I load the page all of the html loads fine but I never see the applet 
nor do I see mozilla trying to load it in to the browser at all.

My questions are these:

1> Does apache support applets by default?
2> If question 1's answer is no, what module(s) do I need?
