[TriLUG] Open Source alternative to ACT! on Windows?

i'm sure you'll find lots of support for act and windows in this group :-)

truth be said, i have yet to find a more slick solution to contact managers
and use the aforementioned programs religiously.

however, i have been tempted to do something along the lines of apache, php
and mysql *especially* for multi user environments.

with a large separation between r&d and practice, i'd opt for the former
over the latter right now and would appreciate you forwarding your father's
contact info so i can submit a bid...

My father is in the process of taking bids from Dell for a server
running ACT! on Windows Server.  I haven't seen the bid yet but I'm sure
it's a fair bit of change for a 5-10 user license of ACT! and Windows.

Are there any Linux/Open Source CRM project out there that I might pitch
over the MS/ACT! duo?

Perhaps browser based clients?
