[TriLUG] getmail

I am playing with getmail.  I am using the default maildir mail delivery 
target.  A tutorial I am reading says to use maildirmake but that doesn't 
exist.  I manually created ~/Maildir and the subdirectories /tmp, /new, /cur 
which seems to work.

What's the normal way of managing getmail's targets?  Manually making 
directories can't be the solution can it?
