[TriLUG] a 'non-windows' method to upgrade BIOS/firmware?

I have used FreeDOS (http://www.freedos.org/) to update motherboard BIOSs 
(Tyan and Asus).  It is not Microsoft Windows, but if the installer needs 
DOS it seems to work.
