[TriLUG] a 'non-windows' method to upgrade BIOS/firmware?

Thanks for all the replies.  I downloaded FREEDOS, booted, tried to 
execute the installer, and I got this error:

This program must be run under Win32.

The odd thing is that LiteOn listed DOS instructions ... oye, I must be 
missing something!  I'll check to see I downloaded the correct firmware 
binary.
