[TriLUG] DMA interrupt recovery

Is it possible that 'wrapping' and 'distorting' and IDE cable using 
those plastic, locking 'twist-tie' type thingys could cause something 
like this?  The local chop shop who put this box together likes to use 
those things out the waazoooooo.
