[TriLUG] Evolution filtering question

This probably isn't much help, I don't know about IMAP but...
I use filters and vfolders on evolution all the time and it works
great. The messages get moved, but not marked as read. I'm using POP
though, so that leads me to think it's an IMAP specific thing. Maybe
when you move a message in IMAP it gets marked read by default?
Try this: In your filters, after the section about moving it to whatever
folder, I think you can add another command, "Unset Status" ... "read".
Or you could set your account in Evolution to not apply filters to
INBOX, then set up Vfolders just like your filters. Read the email
through the vfolders, and when it's read, apply filters to all the
mesages... kind of an end run around.
hope this was some help.
