Well, you seem to be doing all the right things. The char-major messages
basically mean you need to set up some aliases in /etc/modules.conf, but
are otherwise harmless in my experience.

Since you're using the NVidia binary drivers, you have two choices :

1) File a bug with NVidia, because as long as you use the binary only
   drivers, no open source developer I know will touch this.

2) Switch to the nv 2-d driver for a while and see if the problem
   recurrs. If it does, then it's NOT and NVidia driver problem, and you
   can file it in the Fedora Bugzilla and hope the fix for the nv driver
   fixes it for the NVidia binary driver as well.
