Job Title: Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer
 
Red Hat is looking for an experienced and highly skilled engineer to
provide quality assurance for the Red Hat Network product group.  You will
work with a global team to deliver best-of-breed systems managagement
applications that support Red Hat's Open Source Architecture.
 
The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics:
 
1. An exceptional and proven ability to learn.  Candidate must show that
   they can adapt to the rapidly changing technology landscape.
 
2. Ability to communicate.  Candidate must show that they can express
   ideas clearly and concisely.  The ability to write detailed test plans 
   that can be understood and executed by other QA engineers is an
   absolute must for this position.
 
3. Mature technical ability.  Candidate must show both depth and breadth
   of technical knowledge about web applications.  Candidate must also 
   understand how quality software is designed.  We want you to think as
   much as you code.
                                                                                
4. Software/QA experience.  Candidate must be familiar with writing
   software, scripting, and automation.  Ideally experience writing
   test suites, unit tests, or other formalized testing mechanisms
   for automation of repeatable QA tasks.

 
Other required skills:
 
  Four year degree or equivalent industry experience.

  Understanding and experience with object-oriented design and coding.
 
  Knowledge of basic Software Engineering concepts: development models,
  testing, documentation, and revision control.

  Linux and/or UNIX experience
 
Pluses:
 
  Knowledge of Red Hat's products and services.

  Understanding of systems management concepts and applications.

  Experience using agile development methods.
