[TriLUG] cups questions

I have one linux printerser running cups and samba.  It is a 10.x.x.x 
netowrk.

I sometimes plug in my work laptop running linux to the local network 
and can print just fine
just like the windows systems

10.0.0.4----------------------  10.0.0.2
                  |-------------------10.0.0.3
                  |-------------------10.0.0.100

10.1.0.1--  tunnel------------10.1.0.2
so all printer on the 10.0.0.0/255.255.255.0  network can print.
sometimes I connect up to sons thourg a tap interface.

The cups server on the 10.1.0.2  system can see lp0  but when I try to 
print, I get this message
enscript -Plp0 /etc/hosts
lpr: unable to print file: server-error-not-accepting-jobs
[ 1 pages * 1 copy ] sent to lp0

What is the problem here

Any suggestions.
