Hmmm, you should look at the upgrade page for version 3.5. I know that
for x386 you need to do a complete re-install (it's the easiest way to
upgrade and the recommended way).

It wasn't that bad for me as I always have an extra partition set aside
to store a backup of my config files.  So far version 3.5 of OpenBSD
rocks! There are some nice new features - worth the price of upgrading
from scratch.
