[TriLUG] cable/dsl costs

I live in Greenville and have Cox.  I have the "limited basic" cable which 
runs me $5.00 a month and Internet is 40, for a total cost of $45.  RR may do 
this too, but when I bought my modem for I think $50 with a new INternet 
account I got the Internet for half price for 3 months or 10 bucks off for 6.  
So in reality the modem was free, if you count it that way.  And I have been 
very pleased with the service with the exception of the blocked ports.  But, 
I have never seen Cox's mail servers down, and I use zoneedit DNS services  
to move the ports to an open one.
