I vaguely remember doing this type of stuff about 6 mos. ago to get
Network block device support over 2G with 32bit processors.  I had to
play with these defines a bit.  Unfortunately I don't have the systems
in front of me now.  I know one of these is going to make the program
think you have a 64 bit processor.  You might try -D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE
with and without the other one.
