For what it's worth, I can second those assessments of power usage / 
battery life.  My 15" 1.5Ghz PowerBook gets 2.5 hours on a good day, 
while a good friend's Thinkpad T40 gets easily 6-7 hours.  It's 
sometimes bother-some, but I still love my PowerBook.  :)
