[TriLUG] Web Hosting software

Hi John,
Is there anything in particular you have against Apache? I only ask
because it tends to be seen as the de facto standard for Linux-based web
hosting and does pretty much everything you could want it to. For multiple
sites maintained by multiple people, you would simply need to set up
name-based virtual hosting, and give your customers some file space.. I'll
spare the examples for now.
So I give a hearty hurrah in favor of Apache (www.apache.org). My only
dislike I've encountered working with Apache was the shift from 1.x to 2.x;
the config files were not compatible, meaning a brief pain in the neck to
migrate the configurations.. But as you sound as though you'll be starting
from scratch, that wouldn't be an issue.
Cheers,
~Brian
