[TriLUG] Knoppix on a 1gb USB adapter

I'd like to have Knoppix in read-only mode bootable from a 
USB "pen adapter".  Has anyone tried this?  More and more 
computers are shipping with the ability to boot from the USB 
and I'd like to carry knoppix, possibly a customized edition, 
around with me on my keychain.

If you have successfully tried this how did you do it?  What 
kind of USB adapter did you use?  Which brand?
