For those not currently possessing a 1GB USB adapter, yet wanting a
portable, linux-based diagnostics distribution, that fits on a USB pen
drive - check out RUNT. http://www.ncsu.edu/project/runt/ It's
maintained locally by Joel Ebel, who is currently staff at NCSU, and
occasionally makes it out to the meetings. :) It's a slackware based
distro that uses standard slackware packaging. To boot it uses UMSDOS
so it maintains it's cross-platform accessibility as a regular data
drive. Enough singing RUNT's praises, check it out for yourself if
you're interested.
