Hi Ed! Long time, no talk. 

You should be able to be added to the keyring, but the interesting
part is in key signatures.

I think we can probably work out something trusted, since you and I
have known each other for some number of years now, and I have enough
trust and face-to-face around here that I could act as a bridge or
intermediary. Obviously, the trust rating wouldn't be as strong, but
it could be done.

For the most sure, highest levels of trust, yes. For example, I know
you, know your voice, and can ask pertenant questions about our past
interactions to verify you over the phone. I can ask about some things
that only you and I would know about.  That gets you into the web of
trust.

After that, well, it's up to the people who trust me if they trust
you, you know? But many people wouldn't be as trusting (in a crypto
sense) of your keys/signatures as I would.

It's sort of a social interaction, friend-of-a-friend thing. If that
makes sense.
