I RTFM, installed vmware tools from gui, ran thingie on guest
(./vmware-install.pl) and stumbled upon setup unable to find "lspci" program
on your machine.  Wtf is "lspci?"  Time to iterate?  If my boss finds out
how much I've screwed around with Mandrake today, she's going to have a
frying pan upside my head.  You only live once, though :-)
