[TriLUG] FC3 - GUI by default now?

I'm having trouble with an FC3 install. I am choosing Custom, and eliminating
(unchecking) all the options under the Desktop section, including X windows
system, gnome, kde, etc. In FC1, this meant I had no GUI installed and the
machine would default to runlevel 3. In FC3, apparently NO GUI doesn't mean NO
GUI!!! I end up getting the graphical "firstboot" after install is completed
followed by the FC3 login screen, then twm starts up. *sigh* I told it NO
GUI!!!

I expect humans to not listen, but when I tell a computer to do something, I
expect it to be done! Folks in #fedora this morning did not appear to know
about this phenomenon and suspect it a bug??

Anyone at RedHat or otherwise got some news for me? Do I need to do text based
install to get text based system from now on? *yuck* FC1 allowed me to use
the GUI install and get a text based system. If they have changed that default
in FC3, how stupid and sad that decision is, IMHO.

Yes, I know I can simply change my runlevel to 3 and move on. No I'm not going
to use another distro.

thanks in advance! :)
David
