I chose the EV N/D 767 over the SM58 and used it on my last CD at
http://www.terrapinjunction.com.  However, the SM58 has been and still is an
industry workhorse.

Of course, with voice-quality audio versus recording/live band audio, most
folks would not be able to tell the difference.

If you really want the goods, go condenser instead of dynamic element :-)
