[TriLUG] Drivers for small LCD panels?

There was a project for just such a thing about 5 years ago. (It still could
be around) 

The drivers used curses and the displays were driven over a serial line. The displays
were for load average, temperature (anything you could program). Can't remember
the name of the project, but google might help
